70 years ago today, April 9, 1945, the Hitler’s regime martyred the great author, pastor, and theologian: Dietrich Bonheoffer (1906-1945). Bonhoeffer, engaged to Maria von Wedemeyer, had a brilliant life and career in theology ahead of him.
His writings on Christianity’s role in the secular world have become widely influential, and his book The Cost of Discipleship became a modern classic.
